Set a constant using Value block

Set a constant in Centrldesk

The Value block creates a constant. A constant is a value that should not be altered by the user while using a Centrldesk app, i.e. the value is constant.

The value and the type of the constant can be configured by clicking on the gear icon. Types for constants are Text, Number, Date, True/False, Empty, or User.

Example A:

library-general-constant-example-3-1

The constant can then be used, for example, as an input value for other blocks.

Example B:

library-general-constant-example-2-1

The constant can be configured by type and value.

Example C:

library-general-constant-example-4

You can also use users as constant values within Centrldesk.

Result:

A constant value.

Tips and best practices:

Use the correct data type for your use case. As a default, the type 'Text' can often be used.
